Visit with Auntie Kne'ke and Auntie Em

We had a super fun visit with the aunties this weekend! (Masha is now even saying Aunt). And what would a visit be without a super fun photoshoot? Thanks again ladies . . . it was a mighty fun time and Masha just adores you. Here are some gorgeous photos by Auntie Kne'ke.

Art, art, art

I didn't capture this on film, but thought it was worth recording. We took Masha to the Milwaukee Art Museum on Saturday for the first time. Well, really it was the second, but her first time seeing the exhibits. She LOVED it. I was amazed (and pleased) at how much interest she took in the art. She was smiling, pointing, laughing, shrieking (shhh). At one point she started pointing to different paintings and I said "That is a painting, or you could call it art". Not more than two seconds later she was pointing to every painting and saying "art, art, art". This continued for the rest of our visit and as we would walk by our fellow museum goers they would ask "Is she saying art?". I promised myself that I wouldn't be an overly braggy mama, but I couldn't hold back on this one as I proudly boasted that yes, in fact, she was saying "art".

This was her favorite painting:
Girl with Cat by JoetheLion.

Not surprising since she lately she is quite obsessed with cats.

We also had a super fun day shopping the 70% off sale at Boutique Bebe and sharing breakfast at the Pancake House.

First Steps!!

Masha took her first steps over the weekend after dinner at Nana and Grandpa's house. She's done it a few times since, taking about 4-5 little (very controlled) steps. It hasn't been documented yet, but I will be sure to post images/video as soon as I can! (The video isn't working right now on my camera . . . hopefully it will be up soon).

Backpack

Masha loves her new backpack. It was her "stocking" over at Buni's house and she insists on wearing it daily. She also started picking out her own shoes . . she loves her mary janes that are bright pink, orange, and yellow.
